I talk to a lot of people every day. Making small talk and connecting with people in a span of 30 seconds or less is part of my job. What I often learn about people is that everyone wants a Next Level Life, a life of accomplishments and adventures, but they just don’t do it. That’s the toughest part about it.
You might think they’re just scared. Maybe they are. Scared to take a chance. Scared to try something new. Scared of failing. There’s nothing wrong with being scared. However, if you want what others don’t have, you need to do what others won’t do
.
For me, life is about experiences. I’ve traveled to 44 of the 50 United States and to 5 of the 7 continents. I’ve published two books (with #3 on the way). I’ve hiked 4000 foot mountains in New England and whitewater rafted the Kennebec and American Rivers. I’ve visited some of the world’s great wonders: Macchu Picchu, Chichen Itza, the Great Barrier Reef, and Uluru (Ayers Rock) and eaten all manner of foods from alligator to zalouk, including alpaca, emu, guinea pig, and kangaroo. I’ve slept on mountains, deserts, beaches, and rainforests. I’ve dined in 5 star restaurants and food trucks.
I didn’t set out with this particular list in mind. As opportunities came up, I took them. Looking back, it's a bit of an odd list, but I’ve had a blast doing it. Your list will be different. You’ve likely already done some Next Level things, but haven't looked at them in that way. If you want that Next Level Life, it’s time to start doing Next Level things and recognizing what you’ve already done.
It doesn’t matter if you work full time, are a parent, and have other responsibilities. I was all those things. You make time for the things you want.
If you can dream amazing things, you can experience amazing things. As a coach, my goal is to help you achieve your Next Level Life. I can do this because I’ve done a few Next Level things and know a little bit about the subject. When you decide you’re ready, I’ll show you how to build your Next Level list. Your list might not be adventures. It might be activities like learning a skill or language. It might be entering a competition. Life is yours for the taking. At the end, don’t let yourself wonder “what if”, be one who says ”that was amazing!”
