There was a time when when we all lived in tune with the seasons. There was no beginning or end, just an ongoing cycle where one season blended into the next, each preparing us for the next stage. Mabon (September 21) to Samhain (October 31) is a time to prepare for the darkness. We celebrate the equal night on this second harvest festival of Mabon, and the last of the harvest will be ready to be put up at Samhain. The fruits of this year's garden are being preserved for the dark winter nights. Each meal will be celebrated as we are thankful that we persevered all year.
